Funeral services were held on Friday, December 8, at Gieseke Funeral Chapel of Greenbush, with Pastor Alvin Sather officiating Interment was held at Zion Lutheran Cemetery in rural Greenbush.
Ricky Sherwood Olson, the son of Milton and Dorothy (Larson) Olson, was born September 10, 1957 in Karlstad.
Ricky spent most of his life in REM Homes. In 1968 at Roseau, and in 1977 he moved to the Fergus Falls State Hospital and stayed there until it closed. He then moved to Bemidji, MN and lived there until he became ill.
Survivors include his mother, Dorothy Olson of Greenbush; and sister, Sharon (Jay) Erickson of Greenbush; two nieces, Patsy Erickson and Denise and husband Brian Aune; a great-niece, Courtney; and a great-nephew, Travis Aune, all of Thief River Falls; one uncle, Maynard Olson of Roseau; two aunts, Agnes Waage of Owatonna, and Doris Cunningham of Tacoma, Wash., and several cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father, Milton Olson; and his grandparents, Sam and Lena Olson and William and Selma Larson; and several aunts, uncles and cousins. A00003B2006DC13″
