    East Grand Forks – Benjamin Loeslie, 88, formerly of Radium, and Grand Forks, N.D., died Sunday, July 22, 2007, at Edgewood Vista in East Grand Forks.
    Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, July 28, 2007, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Radium. Visitation will be after 5 p.m. with a 7 p.m. prayer service on Friday at the DuBore Funeral Home in Warren, and one hour before services at the church on Saturday. Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery in Warren.
    Benjamin David Loeslie was born on Aug. 30, 1918, the son of Charles and Louise (Schrank) Loeslie. He was raised on the family homestead by Radium and graduated from Warren High School. On Jan. 9, 1944, he was united in marriage to Angela Boutain. They made their home in rural Radium, where they farmed until their retirement. He worked for American Crystal in East Grand Forks for one winter. They moved to Grand Forks in 1990. Angela died on April 9, 2003. Benjamin moved to Edgewood Vista in 2005.
    He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church of Radium and later the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Grand Forks.
    Ben loved his grandchildren very much and enjoyed their visits. He took pride in clearing land and making it farmable. Ben enjoyed hunting with his family and brother, Herbert, and rolling up fences.
    Left to mourn his passing are his five children: Karen (Dale) Kifer of Starbuck, Holly (Bill) Porter of Bloomington, Randal (Joanne) Loeslie of Grand Forks, Lane (Diane) Loeslie of Warren and David (Naomi) Loeslie of Victoria; 13 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; two sisters: Mildred Berggren of Anoka and Florence LaMonte of Grand Forks; and several nieces and nephews.
    He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, infant daughter, brother: Herbert, and four sisters: Lucille, Barbara, Ethel and Annabelle.    A00003B2007JY25
