A 20-year-old woman died of a drug overdose Thursday night in St. Hilaire. A local man, who allegedly supplied the drug, is in custody at the Pennington County Jail.
James Michael Morin, 23, has charges pending in connection with the case, according to Pennington County Sheriff Ray Kuznia. Charges were expected to be filed late Friday or sometime Monday. Morin was booked into jail at 5:08 a.m. Friday.
The woman’s name will be released after relatives have been notified. The sheriff’s office learned about the overdose at 10:31 p.m. Thursday and were dispatched to a St. Hilaire home. Kuznia declined to identify the drug used by the woman.
