Frances Victoria Graham was born October 22, 1918 to George and Emma (Lerew) Graham in Crookston, where she lived and went to school. Her first job at 14 years old was caring for an elderly couple to get enough money to buy her first pair of glasses. She lived with her mother, two brothers, and two sisters. Her dream was to become a seamstress and design clothing.
Frances married Henry Molskness on April 5, 1937 in Crookston. The couple had three children, two sons and one daughter. They rented a farm near Crookston, then moved to Thief  River Falls in 1948. Frances designed patterns and sewed clothing for her daughter. She often cared for children and loved entertaining relatives and friends.
In 1955, she experienced a brain hemorrhage, leaving her right side partially paralyzed. From that point on, she retrained herself to work with her left side, including writing, baking, cooking, canning and freezing what Henry picked from their huge garden, plum trees and apple trees. She was known for her great pies and breads.
Frances truly loved caring for children and entertaining relatives and friends. Every chance she got, Frances would be in church, her faith in Jesus was evident and strong. Many times she could be found reading her Bible and praying. Her strongest desire was her children’s salvation. She enjoyed working in her kitchen and providing meals for her family. She adored caring for her grandchildren and attending family gatherings.  Frances had a contagious smile.  Several of the nurses at the nursing home, where she spent many years, commented on her sweet disposition. They called her “Franny Mo.”
Frances is survived by children: Donnie (special friend Eunice Rolandson) Molskness, Lyle (Suzanne) Molskness and Rhoda (John) Wengeler, all of Thief River Falls; seven grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband Henry on January 9, 2003; two sisters, Josephine Menike and Elsie Lambertson; and three brothers, Charlie, Kenny and Robert Graham.
