Goodridge Public School passed a $21,350,000 bond referendum Tuesday, Nov. 7 by a vote of 230 to 179 in unofficial results.

“We are grateful for our community’s support and their investment, and we look forward to how the improvements will positively impact our Chargers,” said Superintendent Tomas Loberg.

The single-question bond referendum encompasses a variety of improvements, including an expanded area to support hands-on learning and Career and Technical Education (CTE), additional classroom and gymnasium space, security improvements, and other critical facility and educational improvements. As the district looks ahead to the future, the design phase of this project begins with the project team and stakeholders. Feedback will be asked for and encouraged from staff, administrators, students, and community members throughout the process to ensure the design best reflects those who will use the building.

The project’s design phase will take place from December 2023 to July 2024, the bidding phase from August to September 2024, and construction from May 2025 to August 2026.

“We have a strong community in Goodridge, and we are thankful for their investment into the next generation of students and those that will call Goodridge home,” said Principal Becky Carlson.

As the district moves forward throughout the next phases, updates will be provided to residents on the district’s website and social media.
