The new roundabout at Highway 75 and County Road 21 was expected to be open on Oct. 1; however, follow directions on the highway. Signs on the roundabout still needed to be installed. A ribbon-cutting ceremony signifying the completion of the roundabout was conducted Sept. 30. Pictured from left are: Darin Carlstrom, assistant Polk County public works director, J.T. Anderson, MnDOT district engineer, Rich Sanders, Polk County Engineer, Lou Tasa, retired MnDOT engineer, Holly Kostrzewski, who spoke on the importance of the roundabout and is a survivor of a crash at that intersection, and Ryan Wagner, tech IIIB for the Polk County Highway Department. Several other dignitaries were on hand for the ceremony, including Sen. Mark Johnson and Rep. Deb Kiel.
