Visit Thief River Falls is has announced that Thief River Falls has been selected as the host city for the 2028 Red Power Roundup, a nationally celebrated event presented by the International Harvester Collectors Club Chapter 15 in partnership with the Steiger Heritage Club.

Scheduled for June 15-17, 2028, the Red Power Roundup will bring together thousands of collectors, enthusiasts, and families from across the country to celebrate the legacy of International Harvester and Steiger Tractors – brands deeply rooted in America’s agricultural heritage and particularly meaningful to northwest Minnesota.

“This is an incredible opportunity for our community,” said Visit Thief River Falls Executive Director Elizabeth Wilde. “Thief River Falls has a long-standing connection to agricultural innovation, and we are thrilled to welcome attendees to explore our local heritage, take part in a world-class event, and experience all that our city has to offer.”

The 2028 Red Power Roundup will feature:
• A massive display of restored and rare tractors, trucks, and farm equipment
• A parade to celebrate the Steiger tractors
• Historical exhibits, parts vendors, and memorabilia
• Family-friendly activities and regional food vendors
• Special exhibits highlighting the legacy of Steiger Tractor, which was founded n Thief River Falls

The event will be held at the Pennington County Fairgrounds, with additional activities throughout the city. Local businesses, civic organizations and volunteers are already preparing to welcome what is expected to be one of the largest agricultural events ever hosted in northwestern Minnesota.

Founded in 1990, the Red Power Roundup is held in a different U.S. location each year and is considered the premier gathering for fans of International Harvester and red iron history. The partnership with the Steiger Heritage Club makes the 2028 edition especially significant.

“This event is special as we will be celebrating the 70th Anniversary of the Steiger Tractor, which was started in a barn-shop 15 miles southwest of Thief River Falls” said MaJeana Hallstrom, Chapter 15 IHCC, president of Steiger Heritage Club.
