{mosimage} Thief River Falls – Jerome Larson, 66, died on Saturday, April 4, 2009 at Trinity Hospital in Minot, N.D.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, April 9, at Zion Lutheran Church in Thief River Falls, with Rev. Gary Johnson officiating. Military honors will be provided by the Thief River Falls American Legion and VFW Posts. Interment will follow at the Landstad Cemetery, rural Thief River Falls.
Jerome Lee Larson was born on January 27, 1943 to Harry and Pearl (Seaverson) Larson in Thief River Falls. He attended school in Thief River Falls and graduated from Lincoln High School in 1961. He entered the US Army and honorably served his country.
Jerome was united in marriage to Charlotte Holmes at Zion Lutheran Church in Thief River Falls. They made their home in Rochester and lived there. They then moved to St. Hilaire for 12 years and moved into Thief River Falls in 1983. Jerome was a drywall contractor. He worked with Sherman Johnson for many years and then went out on his own.
Jerome was a history buff. He liked to argue politics. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. Jerome was a sports fan. He played hockey
through his junior year in school and continued to watch sports on TV throughout his lifetime. He loved spending time with the kids and grandkids.
He is survived by his wife, Charlotte Larson, Thief River Falls; three children, Shari (Jeff) Nelson, Moorhead, Brent (Jenna) Larson, Lino Lakes, Brett Larson, Thief River Falls; six grandchildren; one brother, Jack Larson, Roseau; and nieces and nephews.
Jerome was preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Pearl.
