Rochester – Paul D. Johnson, 72, died Tuesday, Feb. 22, 2005, at his home in Rochester.
 Funeral services were held Friday, Feb. 25, 2005, at Rochester Covenant Church, with Rev. Gary Downing officiating. Interment was held at Oakwood Cemetery.
 Paul D. Johnson was born June 12, 1932 in Ulen. On April 1, 1955, he married former Plummer resident Mary Ann Swanson in Manhattan, Kan.
 Paul served in the U.S. Army from December 1954 to the fall of 1956. He taught in Ada from 1956-59 and moved to Rochester in the fall of 1959. Paul taught at Central Junior High School and later at Willow Creek in Rochester, retiring in 1991. Paul coached junior high football and baseball. He loved sports, especially baseball. Paul also enjoyed watching his children and grandchildren play sports.
 Survivors include his wife, Mary Ann, of Rochester; three children, Lynette (Leon) Nerison of Wanamingo; Kevin (Carolyn) of Rochester; and Nathan of Rochester; six grandchildren; one brother, Charles (Angie) Johnson of Bloomington; two sisters, Audrey (Jim) Rogers of Chicago, Ill.; and JoAnn (Phil) Wood of Houston, Texas.
 He was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Heidi; four sisters; and three brothers.
