Greenbush – Lyle Kjos, 76, of rural Greenbush, died Thursday, April 28, 2005 at his home.
Private funeral services were held on Monday, May 2 at Gieseke Funeral Chapel in Greenbush, with Pastor Ken Hart officiating. Casket bearers included Dan Rasmussen, Allan Kukowski, Kyle and Kenny Kjos, Glenn Darst and Allen Brazier. Interment was held at United Free Lutheran Church, Bethania Cemetery of Greenbush.
Lyle Harlan Kjos, the son of Louis and Helga (Bakken) Kjos, was born February 10, 1929 on the home farm in Skagen Township, Roseau County, rural Greenbush. He was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith. He attended rural school and the Greenbush School. He grew up on the home farm in Skagen Township, where he lived and worked his entire life. He married Marlene Brazier on January 14, 1951 at Greenbush.
Lyle was an avid fisherman. He loved to hunt and trap and to do anything outdoors.
Survivors include his wife, Marlene; one son, Nolan (Roxann) Kjos of Greenbush; daughters, Lynnae (Dan) Rasmussen of Newfolden and Lydell (Allan) Kukowski of Roseau; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one son, Timmy Nolan Kjos. A00003B2005MY04 “
