Phoenix, Ariz. – Bonnie Sjulestad, 92, died Sunday, April 20, 2014 in Phoenix, Ariz.
Services were held on Saturday, April 26 at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Glendale, Ariz. Interment was held at Phoenix Memorial Park in Phoenix, Ariz.
Bonnie was born March 30, 1922 to Robert and Mary (Eidelbes) Zavoral in rural Goodridge. She married Swen Sjulestad on June 29, 1941. They raised three daughters and in 1962, they moved to Arizona. Bonnie worked for JC Penney, retiring in 1983. Bonnie enjoyed traveling, camping, gardening, sewing and spending time with her family.
Survivors include daughters Sandy (Jim) Prigge, Diane (Bob) Randolph, Renae (Bruce) Bjerklie; grandchildren Scott (Bobbi) Prigge, Jeff (Terri) Prigge, Jim (Selina) Prigge, Steve (Nena) Prigge, Michelle (Scott) Whitney, Jason Randolph, Jennifer (Manuel) Vargas, Lisa (Sean) Truelove, Martin (Amanda) Randolph, Chris (Kristy) Bjerklie, Jami (Rich) Hendrickson, Bryan Bjerklie; 28 great-grandchildren, nine great-great-grandchildren; sister-in-law Betty Zavoral Loiland, and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by Swen, her husband of 71 years; her parents; sisters Helen, Mayme and Betty; and brother Bobby.
Her family will dearly miss Bonnie and may her memory be blessed.
