    North Mankato – Janette Edith Anderson, 82, North Mankato, formerly of Thief River Falls, died Saturday, March 28, 2015.
    A celebration of her life will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 31 at Northview ~ North Mankato Mortuary. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
    Janette Edith (Hudson) Anderson was born July 5, 1932, in St. James, the youngest of 12 children to Ben and Ida (Engelbrect) Hudson. She attended school in Lake Crystal and St. James. She married John T. Anderson March 14, 1950, in St. James. The couple lived in St James; Sioux Center, Iowa; Worthington and Thief River Falls before moving to North Mankato last June.
    Janette enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, playing bingo, taking care of her home and flowers and playing cards. She was a member of the Redeemer Lutheran Church in Thief River Falls. She loved to cook her famous holiday dinners and prime rib, always cooking enough for a thrashing crew.
    Janette is survived by her husband of 65 years, John T. Anderson of Thief River Falls; children, Candace (Neil) Malmquist of North Mankato and her children Stacy Halverson and Nichole Malmquist; Debbra (Steven) Jacobs of Sauk Rapids and her daughter, Stephanie Loesch, John (Linda) Anderson of Andover, and James (Mary Jo) Anderson of Thief River Falls and their children Alicia Tanner and Laura Norland; great-grandchildren, Jackson Halverson, William Halverson, Tyler VanderKooi, Connor VanderKooi, Carter Loesch, Max Loesch, Walker Loesch, Jaxson Tanner, Kendall Tanner and Halle Norland; sisters, Idele Peterson of Mankato and Darlene Klaras of Elgin, Ill.; and many nieces and nephews.
     She was preceded in death by her parents; grandson, Timothy John Jacobs and great-grandson, Jacob Timothy Loesch, brother, Lester Hudson; sisters, Irene Jordan, Agnes Oates, Mildred Hudson, Esther Spitzka, Ethel Evans, Fern Hudson, Lucille Hudson, and Dolores Wright, and infant brother and sister.
