Plymouth – Karen Dahlstrom (Myhre) lost her short battle with cancer on January 4, 2016 at the age of 68.
A private memorial was held by the family.
Caring wife of Paul Dahlstrom in Plymouth; loving mother to son Derek (and Cami) Dahlstrom of Independence, and daughter, Bobbi Dahlstrom, of Minneapolis; and proud Grandma to Mya, Sydney, and Peyton Dahlstrom.
Karen was always an approachable and genuinely kind person and greeted everyone she met with a big smile. To those who knew and loved her most, she had a heart of gold and would do anything for you.
Born May 2, 1947 in Rugby, N.D., she graduated high school in Leeds, N.D. Karen moved to and attended technical school in Fargo, N.D., living there a while before moving to Thief River Falls to work at Arctic Cat. Paul and Karen were married May 27, 1972.
Karen also worked at Bridgeman’s (Land ‘O Lakes) for many years, before returning to Arctic Cat until retirement in 2012. In 2013, Paul and Karen moved to the Twin Cities to be closer to their children and grandchildren, buying a Townhome in Plymouth.
Karen very much enjoyed indoor and outdoor long walks, reading political thriller and romantic novels, cheering Very loudly for the Vikings, trying any new adventure you threw her way, and, especially, being with her grandkids.
Condolences may be sent to Paul Dahlstrom at 4532 Quantico Lane, Plymouth, MN 55446.
