Thief River Falls – Richard “Todd” Greisen of Thief River Falls, passed away on Saturday, April 16, 2016 at the Sanford Medical Center in Thief River Falls.
A Memorial service to remember his life will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, April 20 at Johnson Funeral Service in Thief River Falls, with Rev. Ben Carlsen officiating. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery in Thief River Falls.
Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Wednesday, April 20, 2016 at Johnson Funeral Service in Thief River Falls.
Richard Todd Greisen was born August 5, 1968, in Thief River Falls, the son of Richard and Dorothy Greisen. He was baptized at St. John Lutheran Church, Thief River Falls, and confirmed at Redeemer Lutheran Church, Thief River Falls. He attended Thief River Schools.
Todd was employed at Florence’s Restaurant and later at Marvin Windows until his accident in 1988. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, cooking, camping, boating, socializing, snowmobiling, collecting gadgets, Vikings, watching Westerns and Jeopardy.
He held membership with Ecklund-Holmstrom American Legion Post 117 and the Thief River Falls Eagle’s Club. Todd was an Eagle Scout.
Todd will always be remembered as a very giving and loving person.
Todd is survived by his fiancé, Janis Witthoft; daughter, Sarah Dokkin; grandchild, Shaelynn Jorstad; brother, Sean (Brenda) Greisen; niece, Jenna; cousins, Kim Kris, Debbie and Kevin Palmer; His dog, Cobo, and many great friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Richard; mother, Dorothy; brother, Jeff; several aunts and uncles, and his beloved dog, Benji.
