    Grafton, N.D. – Lillian M. Martin, 88, Grafton, N.D., passed away Saturday, April 23, 2016, at the Unity Medical Center of Grafton.
    Mass of Christian burial was held Wednesday, April 27 at the St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church of Grafton, N.D. Interment was at St. John’s Catholic Cemetery of Grafton.
    Lillian M. Rose was born Sept. 8, 1927 in Grafton, the daughter of the late Frank F. and Mary (Janousek) Rose. She grew up and attended school in Grafton. Following her education, she worked various part-time jobs. She was united in marriage to Cecil Martin on Nov. 14, 1946 in Grafton, where the couple made their home and raised their five children. Cecil passed away on May 13, 2007, and Lillian continued to make her home in Grafton until her death.
    She was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church of Grafton. She enjoyed crocheting, square dancing, playing cards and bingo, and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
    Lillian is survived by her children: Wayne (Sharon) Martin, Grafton, Barb Ellingson, Fargo, N.D., Gary Martin, Grafton, Marvin Martin, Grafton, and Tim (Kim) Martin, Grafton; grandchildren Rebecca Martin, Kelly (Holly) Martin, Kimberly Ellingson, Jamie (Randall) Greenley, Erica (Scott) McDaniels, Samantha Ellingson, Michelle (James) Hensal, Shaun Martin, Kari (Jason) Krolak, Nicholette (David) Boura and Alexandra Martin, great-grandchildren: Jade, Boeden, Griffin, Drake, Mylan, Murphy, Easton, Asher, Luke and Zachary; sisters Marion Devos, Crookston, and Marcella (Marcy) Dunrud, Thief River Falls; sister-in-law Nora Rose, Grafton; brothers-in-law Ernest Martin, Grafton, and Lawrence Brosius, formerly of Drayton, N.D. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive.
    Lillian was preceded in death by her parents; husband Cecil; daughter-in-law Jane Martin; son-in-law Richard Ellingson; siblings Frank Rose, Patricia (Joseph) Devos, Della (Henry) Dietrich, Jerry Rose and Cy Rose; brothers-in-law Roy Martin, Francis Devos and Kenneth Dunrud; and sisters-in-law Hazel (Frank) Kilcollins, Elaine Brosius and Eileen St. Vincent.
