The Sunday afternoon time slot is being billed as an all-star game for 35 to 40 camp prospects.
All sessions are open to the public.
Some 80 to 100 players were expected to attend the try-outs.
The recently-named Norskies will begin play as a Superior International Junior Hockey League expansion franchise this fall.
It was also announced that Thief River Falls has been awarded the SIJHL Showcase in January when all six league teams will be in town to play two games each – an annual event that draws a contingent of college and pro scouts.
In addition to the Norskies, the SIJHL includes Canadian teams Fort Frances Lakers, Dryden GM Ice Dogs, Thunder Bay North Stars and the English River Miners from Ontario, along with the Minnesota Iron Rangers, based in  Hoyt Lakes.
