Dolores Amundson Weyenberg

    Dolores Amundson Weyenberg, 101, formerly of Thief River Falls, passed away peacefully Monday, July 11, 2016 at her home in Mt. Dora, Fla.
    She was born Jan. 14, 1915, in Thief River Falls to Peter and Thea Amundson and graduated from Lincoln High School. In 1937, she married David Tollefson.
    Dolores lived in Wisconsin for many years until she and her husband Bill moved to Florida. She was a homemaker but was influential in helping with her husband’s career. They were active members of the VFW and participated in many of their fundraising activities. Dolores enjoyed gardening, embroidery and crocheting — and was a gifted pianist.
    She was preceded in death by her husbands, David Tollefson, Donald Jeanson and Bill Weyenberg; son, Donald Tollefson; grandson, David Hajinian; great-granddaughter, Kristin Ann McCrary; brothers, Arlos Amundson, Harlan Amundson; sister Lorraine Slade; and stepson Steve Weyenberg.
    Dolores is survived by her sister, Helen Stupar; daughters, Darla Hajinian and Vickie Cruise; son, Dennis Jeanson; stepdaughters Michelle Huss and Karen Leaf; nine grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
