Warren Syverson was born July 7, 1946 in Bagley, to Carl and Clara Syverson.  He attended country school in Minerva Township rural Bagley. He skipped the 2nd grade and so he graduated from Bagley High School at the age of 16.  After graduation he worked construction until he was inducted into the U.S. Army on July 19, 1966. While serving in the US Army he was promoted to Sargent and was assigned to training Green Berets in the North Georgia Mountains.  He was honorably discharged in July of 1968.

After his discharge from the Army, Warren worked again in construction and other various jobs including the Pipeline, the ND Oil fields, and many years at Arctic Cat in TRF. Warren loved hunting, fishing, the Twins, and Vikings, but most of all loved God, his family, and country.  He was a great guitar player, frequently playing and singing for his friends and family.  He loved to clown around and get into mischief.  He also had a big heart and would frequently come home with stray or injured dogs, birds, and even skunks and raccoons which became family pets. Warren and Margaret were foster parents to many children for years while raising their own family.
In Warren’s later years, he worked as a black jack dealer and Security guard for Seven Clans casino until health forced his retirement in 2015.
He is survived by his loving wife Margaret; three of his children, Cinda (Joe) Lovato of St. Cloud, Angela Castle, and Kyle (Nicole) Syverson of Thief River Falls. His Grandchildren were Derek Alby, Tyler Lovato, Brady Castle, Brianna Lovato, Cathrine Syverson, Rachel Lovato, Gunner Syverson, and Teagan Syverson.
