    Thief River Falls
– Fredrick Dallmann of Thief River Falls, passed away on Friday, March 17, 2017 at Sanford Hospital in Thief River Falls, with his family at his side, at the age of 83.
    Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, March 23, 2017 at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Thief River Falls, with Rev. Darrel Cory officiating.  Interment will follow at Greenwood Cemetery, Thief River Falls.
    Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. on Wednesday, March 22, 2017, at Johnson Funeral Service, Thief River Falls, as well as one hour prior to the service on Thursday at the church.
    Fredrick William Dallmann was born July 10, 1933 to Theadore and Clara (Raveling) Dallmann in Waterbury Township, Redwood County. He was baptized and confirmed in the Christian Faith at St. Matthews Lutheran Church, Wabasso.
    He attended School District #78 through the 7th grade and graduated from Wabasso High School in 1951. He had a milk route to help his Dad on the farm.
    Fred was united in marriage to Mildred Schwahn in 1953. Millie died in 1991. To this union four children were born, Randy, Jody, Doug and Robyn.
    Fred was in the United States Army from July, 1953-April, 1955. He was stationed in Germany.
    He farmed in Waterbury Township until 1964, then worked  in the Wabasso Bank until 1967.
    Fred and his family moved to Thief River Falls in October of 1967. He worked at Northern State Bank and Arctic Enterprises. He retired from Northern State Bank in June, 1995.
    Fred married Lorraine (Peterson) Mosbeck on May 1, 1993 at Redeemer Lutheran Church, Thief River Falls.
    He was formerly active in the St. Matthews Church, Wabasso and active member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Thief River Falls, where he was Sunday School Superintendent, an active member of Redeemer Lutheran Church, Thief River Falls, on the council, sang in the choir and on other committees. He was called on to fix whatever was broken. He enjoyed doing it all.
    He was a lifetime member of the American Legion Post #117, VFW Post #2793. He was a member of many organizations including the Lions, Eagles, Pioneer Farmers, Heritage Center, Pioneer Village and the Sons of Norway and received many awards.
    Fred enjoyed working in his shop, making items for many people, doing volunteer work, bowling and golfing and taking trips in his motor home. Fred lived at Valley Home Assisted Living for many years and was known as the puzzle guy.
    He is survived by his wife, Lorraine; his four children: Randy (Mireille) Dallmann, Minneapolis, Jody (Jim) Vigness, Grand Forks, ND, Douglas (Pam) Dallman, Thief River Falls, and Robyn (Mark) Isaacson, Maple Grove; five step-children: Judy (Gary) Heaton, Mandan, ND, Gary Mosbeck, St. Hilaire, Lynn (Rob) LaCoursiere, Red Laker Falls, Gene (Suzie) Mosbeck, Thief River Falls, and Joni (Jerry) Ortlepp, East Bethel; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews and friends.
    He was preceded in death by his first wife, Millie, his parents, one brother Armin, brothers-in-law Duane Gunderson, John Sang, and Donald Rupprecht, daughter-in-law Lyla Mosbeck and niece Beverly Ahlbrecht.
