Thief River Falls overcame a 3-0 first inning deficit to defeat Roseau 9-6 Thursday afternoon at the Multi Events Center in Thief River Falls.
The Prowlers answered the Rams’ three-run first with three runs of their own in the bottom of the inning. Okeson scored on an Alexa Rogalla double and Rogalla took third on a wild pitch. Kylea Praska singled to knock in Rogalla from third and Praska took second on a throwing error. Praska reached third on a productive out by Josie Davis and later scored from third on a Claire Mattson single.
Roseau picked up a single run in the second inning when Abby Huss scored from first on a double by Kacie Bjerk.
Thief River Falls answered with three more runs. Okeson reached via a bunt for a base hit. Rogalla walked. Cora Torkelson doubled to score Okeson and push Rogalla to third; and Bailey Greene doubled to score Rogalla and Torkelson.
Roseau cut the Prowler lead to 6-5 with an unearned run in the third inning.
Thief River Falls put another three-run inning together in the fifth, with Erin Kramer knocking in two runs on a two-out single. Kraemer would later score on a Rogalla single.
Rogalla picked up the win,  allowing six total runs, three of which were earned, on seven hits in seven innings pitched. She struggled early but retired 10 consecutive batters from the third through sixth innings.
