Rochester and Thief River Falls – Gail Dianne (Lendobeja) Claffy entered fully into the presence of her Lord and Savior Tuesday May 9, 2017 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Rochester surrounded by her loving family.
    A Celebration of Life was held Saturday, May 13, 2017 at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Rochester. Interment was held at Grandview Memorial Gardens.
    Gail Dianne (Lendobeja) Claffy was born April 20, 1935 to Adam and Mabel Lendobeja in Thief River Falls, where she spent her childhood and graduated from high school.
    She married Jerry Alden Claffy on June 19th, 1955. She attended North Dakota State College in Fargo, ND to attain her teaching degree in Home Economics in 1957. Together they lived in Fargo, ND, Breckenridge, La Crosse, WI and ultimately settled their family in Rochester in 1964. Here she spent her days raising her two children and working as a substitute teacher for the Rochester Public Schools.
    Dianne was an active member at Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Rochester serving on various committees throughout the years. Together Dianne and Jerry enjoyed traveling the world and were avid antique collectors.
    Dianne shared her incredible talent with all those around her including sewing, crafting, gardening, cooking and baking. She was most happy surrounded by her family.
    Dianne is survived by her husband Jerry of Rochester, daughter Terry (Ron) Meyer of Golden Valley, son Mike (Shirley) Claffy of Rochester, grandchildren Courtney Schultz, Stacey (Joe) Evans, Steve (Brandy) Claffy, great-grandchildren Kole and Jayden Schultz, Christopher and Cameron Evans, Abby and Jensen Claffy and honorary grandchildren Michelle (Rick) Tripp and Marvin (Joanna) Billings.
    Memorials are preferred to Our Savior’s Lutheran Church of Rochester.
    Arrangement are entrusted to Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Homes of Rochester.
