Remains determined not to be Safranski

It's not Veronica "Voni" Safranski. Human remains found Saturday, June 10 near Oslo have been determined not to be Safranski, who disappeared on Oct. 26, 1996. Safranski, 40, Argyle, was last seen at a Halloween party at Mick’s Bar in Warren.
Dental records were used to try to determine the person’s identity. Safranski’s dental records didn’t match the person, according to Marshall County Sheriff Jason Boman.
Safranski has never been located, and no one has been charged in her disappearance.
The human remains were found near Oslo at about 2:42 p.m. Saturday on the banks of the Red River. A boater found the remains near Section 29 of Higdem Township. Polk County deputies then responded to the scene. The remains were then transported to the Medical Examiner’s Office in Grand Forks, N.D.
The Polk County Sheriff’s Office continues its investigation to identify the person.
