Eagan & Thief River Falls – Mervin Duane Prestebak died Saturday, July 8, 2017.
A private interment will be held at Fort Snelling National Cemetery at a later date.
Mervin was born in Mizpah on July 16, 1928. He later moved to Thief River Falls in Smiley Township where he farmed and had a road construction company. Upon retirement, he and his wife moved to Eagan.
Mervin is survived by his wife of 67 years, JoAnn; daughters, Nancy (Dave) Snoeyenbos, Jill (Ron) Henrickson, Peggy (Jeff) Kline, and Jenny (John) Burwell; grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and many loving friends and relatives who were dear to his heart.
Mervin will be greatly missed by family and friends, but his spirited personality, infectious laugh and sense of humor will always be remembered.
