    Newfolden
– Anna Vixie of Newfolden, passed away on Tuesday, July 11, 2017 at the Henning Rehab and Health Care in Henning, with her daughter and son-in-law by her side.
    A funeral service was held on Saturday, July 15, 2017, at Evangelical Free Church in Newfolden with Mike Adamek officiating. Burial will be held on Friday, July 28, 2017 at 5:30 p.m. at Oak Grove Cemetery at Newfolden.
    Anna Jane Tallum was born June 22, 1939 at Newfolden, the daughter of Helmer and Irene (Robison) Tallum. She was raised in Warren, where she attended school and graduated in 1957. Anna worked at the ASCS offices in Warren and Crookston.
    On December 30, 1965 she was united in marriage to Dale O. Vixie at Warren. The couple made their home in Crookston for a time, then Warren, and the Viking area before purchasing the family farm south of Newfolden. Anna worked as bookkeeper at the hardware store in Newfolden until her retirement. She also worked part-time for the Newfolden Co-op Oil as bookkeeper.
    Anna enjoyed gardening and crafts, counted cross stitch was her favorite. She cherished the time spent with neighborhood kids no matter where she lived. She collected thimbles from all over the world and also collected Mary Engelbreit memorabilia. She enjoyed reading, and her favorite author was Dean Koontz. She loved music, especially by Elvis Presley.
    Anna enjoyed traveling to Colstrip, MT to visit her niece and family. She was a member of the Newfolden garden club and served as Election Judge for Newfolden Township.
    On February 14, 2017 Anna was crowned Valentine Queen at the Henning Health Care and Rehabilitation. Anna always loved the time spent with her family and friends.
    Anna is survived by her daughter Crystal (Tim) Juven of Battle Lake; step-grandsons Joshua (Brittney) Juven of Willmar, and Mathew (Sarah) Juven of Kimball; step-great-grandchildren Owen and Daisy; siblings Helen Jackson of Warren, Janice Hestekind of Newfolden, Ruth Vanek of Minto, ND, David (Patty) Tallum of Newfolden, and Doris Flanagan of Thief River Falls; along with Aunts Helen Robison of Shafer, and Myrtle Robison of Fargo, ND; many nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews, other extended family.
    She is preceded in death by her husband Dale, son Chris, infant daughter Tracy Anne, parents, brothers-in-law Kenny Jackson, Jerry Hestekind, Ron Vanek, and Paul Flanagan.
