Northland Community and Technical will host the Minnesota Education Fair on Oct. 3, between 9 and 10:30 a.m. at NCTC’s Thief River Falls campus gymnasium.
“College fairs provide students with an opportunity to visit with colleges, universities, technical colleges, and armed services at one convenient location,” said Nicki Carlson, director of Enrollment Management and Admissions at NCTC. “The college fair gives students the opportunity to learn more about education and job opportunities in the area. Students can meet with individual college representatives to answer their questions and make the first step toward continuing their education.”
Representatives from over 55 educational institutions from Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota, Iowa, and Wisconsin will be available to answer questions and provide important information for post-high school planning. Students and parents will be free to look at various displays and speak to those schools, colleges, and organizations that interest them in an informal, relaxed setting.
The fair is sponsored by the Minnesota Association for College Admission Counseling, which also hosts the National College Fair each fall in Minneapolis. The fair is open to high school students, transfer students, parents, and those interested in continuing their education.
