    Wagoner, OK – Duane C. VonWald, 90, of Wagoner, OK, formerly of Thief River Falls, went to be with the Lord and his beloved wife Mae, on Saturday, November 4, 2017.
    Services were held on  Friday, November 10, 2017 at the Church Of God in Wagoner. Military Honors followed at the Ft. Gibson National Cemetery, under the care of Shipman Funeral Home & Crematory.
    Duane was one of five children born to Phillip and Hannah VonWald on February 13, 1927 in Euclid. He received his early education in Euclid and Grygla.  
    On August 1, 1953, Duane married Mae (Fluke) VonWald, in Thief River Falls. They were blessed with two children and shared many wonderful memories along this journey.  
    Duane worked as a parts man for Arctic Cat for several years, until his retirement. He was a loving husband, father, grandpa and g-pa to his family. He was a coin collector and a great conversationalist.
    Duane enjoyed watching Jimmy Swaggart and Jim Baker Ministries. He also looked forward to having a McDonalds strawberry or apple pie. He was a proud supporter and member of the Church Of God in Wagoner.
    Duane was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Arthur VonWald; three sisters, Vivian Kidder, Junia Thompson and Elaine Thompson; and his wife Mae VonWald.
    Duane leaves behind his children, Debbie VonWald of the home, and Bruce (Virginia) VonWald of Wagoner; grandchildren, Matthew (Samantha) VonWald, T.J. (Cameron) VonWald and Sarah Vallejos, along with great-grandchildren, Jaylin, Kaileigh, Jayce, Kamden, Piper and Joelle; other family members and church family.
