Five volleyball student-athletes from the Minnesota College Athletic Conference have received All-American honors from the National Junior College Athletic Association, as announced on Thursday, Dec. 6.
St. Cloud Technical and Community College led the way with two First Team honorees: Kalie Jergens, a 5'8" outside hitter and Kalli Mathiasen, a 5'7" setter.  Both Cyclone sophomores are among the twelve members of the NJCAA First Team.  
Northern Division champion Central Lakes College is represented by Paige Wallevand, a 5'11" setter, one of only three freshman on the First Team.  
Northland Community & Technical College sophomore Shantel Verbout, a 5'10" middle blocker, also was named to the First Team. 
Cami Sletta, a 5'10" freshman from Ridgewater College earned Honorable Mention All-American honors for the Warriors.  
In total, 18 NJCAA volleyball students-athletes were honored for their strong efforts in 2017.
