    Thief River Falls – Thelma Feragen, 98, of Thief River Falls, died Sunday, January 21, 2018 at Sanford Hospital in Thief River Falls.
    A Funeral service honoring her life will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, January 27, 2018 at Johnson Funeral Service in Thief River Falls with Reverend LeRoy Flickinger officiating.  Burial will follow at Rosendahl Cemetery, rural Goodridge.
    Visitation will be held one hour prior to the funeral service on Saturday at Johnson Funeral Service, Thief River Falls.
    Thelma Azella Anderson was born on October 28, 1919 in Holt, the daughter of Iver and Inga (Sletten) Anderson. On July 4, 1920 she was baptized by E.O. Sabo in Mavie. She was later confirmed in the Lutheran faith and attended school in Mavie.
    On July 25, 1942, Thelma was united in marriage to George Feragen Sr. in Mavie by the same pastor that baptized her. The couple lived in the Grygla area. They moved to Northome in 1962 where Thelma worked at the Northome nursing home and various restaurants. In 1970, Thelma and George moved to Thief River Falls where Thelma worked at Arctic Cat until retirement.
    Thelma enjoyed quilting, embroidering, making lefse, donuts, and buns, and gardening.
    Thelma was a lifetime member of the VFW Post 2793 Ladies Auxiliary.
    Thelma is survived by her children, Jerry Feragen of Thief River Falls, Vera (Roger) Hovet of Thief River Falls, George “Chubby” (special friend Lynda) Feragen Jr. of Goodridge, Ernie (Connie) Feragen of Warroad, Gail Lievsay of Champlin, and Vicky (Paul) Rindahl of Goodridge; 15 grandchildren, Jeffrey Feragen, Darin (Chantel) Feragen, Lisa (Stacy) Hovet, Stacy (Matthew) Jankowski, Billy (Kendra) Feragen, Joy Feragen, JoElaine (Doug) Williams, Julie Ann Feragen, Michael (Ashlee) Feragen, Justin (Jerrica) Feragen, Loyd Lievsay Jr., Dianna (Ric) Gould, Andy (special friend Amy) Rindahl, and Ross Rindahl; 22 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Donna Feragen of East Grand Forks; and many nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
    Thelma is preceded in death by her husband, George; her parents, Iver and Inga Anderson; siblings, Melford Anderson, Alvin Anderson, baby Alva Anderson, LeRoy Anderson, Myrtle Helgeland, Ovedia Stratton, Delpha Comstock, Stella Nesland; granddaughter, Laurie Wilson.
