Northland Community & Technical College sophomore center Megan Swedberg had a strong week for the Pioneers and has earned the MCAC Northern Division Player-of-the-Week award for her effort. Over two contests, Swedberg tallied 41 points and collected an impressive 32 rebounds for NCTC. In addition, she blocked four shots across the two Northland wins (84-51 over VCC and 68-40 over Mesabi Range). Offensively, Swedberg was 15-for-26 from the field and was 11-for-13 from the free throw line. Northland is back in action this week, taking on Central Lakes College and Rainy River Community College in a pair of important Northern Division contests. |
