\\" Thief River Falls – Ruth Gilbertson, 80, died Monday, February 20, 2006 at Northwest Medical Center, Thief River Falls.
  Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, February 24, at Johnson Funeral Service, Thief River Falls, with Rev. George Davis officiating. Casket bearers included Gil Gilbertson, David Schmidt, Russell Gilbertson Jr., Milo Gilbertson, Gene Anderson and Lyle Gilbertson.  Interment will be held at Oakdale Cemetery, Crookston.
  Visitation will be 5 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, February 23, at Johnson Funeral Service, Thief River Falls, and for one hour prior to services, Friday.
  Ruth Gilbertson (Knutson) was born September 26, 1925 in Browerville,  the daughter of Oscar and Hilda (Kettleson) Knutson.  She attended school in Strathcona and Menahga.
  On December 22, 1941, Ruth was united in marriage to Ernest Gilbertson in Brookings, S.D.  They moved and lived in Crookston, until 1975 and then moved to Milbank, S.D. until retirement in 1982. They then moved to Thief River Falls.
  Ruth especially enjoyed her children and grandchildren. She will be remembered as a good wife, mother and grandmother.
  Ruth is survived by daughters, Gloria Gilbertson of Grand Forks, N.D. and Shirley (Danny) Farden of Grants Pass, Ore.; sons, Russell (Ramona) of Shevlin and Dennis (Linda) of Warroad; nine grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
  She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest; a daughter, Bonnie; a granddaughter; parents; four sisters; and a brother.”
