Some of the top riders on the PBR Touring Pro circuit will compete in Thunder on Hooves July 20 and 21 in Thief River Falls.
Committed to participate in the event are Reuben Barbosa, who is ranked fifth in the overall standings, Ezekiel Mitchell, who is ranked number 10, and Mason Taylor, who is ranked number 14.
Cody Rodeo Tyler was the winner of the 2017 Thunder on Hooves. Tyler was not listed among the event riders as of Tuesday, July 17.
Justin Leggett has been named the barrellman for Thunder on Hooves. The barrellman has the important job of protecting cowboys and entertaining the crowd in between rides.
Leggett grew up in Pine Bluff, Ark. In the ninth grade he joined the Arkansas High School Rodeo Association and competed in steer wrestling and team roping. He then graduated with a rodeo scholarship and attended the University of Arkansas at Monticello where he competed on a collegiate level. He then joined the International Pro Rodeo Association competing in steer wrestling. After four years, he took on the career as an auctioneer. He has been a funny man for some amateur rodeos in Arkansas and has had the opportunity to help Dale Mccracken (Gizmo) as a kid.
Chad Berger Bucking Bulls will be the stock contractor for Thunder on Hooves. Chad Berger Bucking Bulls has some of rodeo’s best bulls and will surely make this event amazing. Chad Berger Bucking Bulls has been named PBR Stock Contractor of the year several times.
