Paul Dahlstrom passed away on January 9, 2019 at the age of 74.
A private memorial was held by the family.
Paul was born October 2, 1944 in Thief River Falls. He worked with Border States Paving for nearly 40 years, retiring in 2017. Paul and Karen were married May 27, 1972. In 2013, Paul and Karen moved to the Twin Cities to be closer to their children and grandchildren, buying a Townhome in Plymouth. Karen lost a battle with cancer January 4, 2016, and Paul, remaining devoted, did not fully recover from that loss. He passed suddenly and quickly in his home.
Paul was always an approachable and genuinely kind person and greeted everyone he met with a big smile. To those who knew and loved him most, he had a heart of gold.
Paul very much enjoyed being our family chef growing up and for Karen and friends, listening to and playing music, cheering for the Vikings, and being with family.
Caring father of Derek (wife, Cami, and proud Grandpa to Mya, Sydney, and Peyton) Dahlstrom in Independence; and to his daughter, Bobbi Dahlstrom, in New York, NY. He is survived by his sister, Lois (Roger), and his brothers David (Janet), Jim (Jocie), Dan (Lisa), and Tim (Kathy).
Condolences may be sent to Bobbi Dahlstrom 402 W 22nd St, 4R New York, NY 10011.
