Jack D. Sculthorp, 47, of Moorhead, formerly of Thief River Falls, passed away on Monday, July 22, 2019 in his home due to complications from diabetes.
Funeral service for Jack was held on Friday, July 26 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Moorhead.
Scouter Jack was raised in Thief River Falls and made Moorhead his home. He was very active in the community and lead many youth and leaders through their Scouting adventure over the past 20+ years, including 50 Eagle Scouts.
Jack is survived by his dad, Dick Sculthorp; brother, Tony (Eve) Sculthorp and their children: Jennifer, Ian, John, Mark, Geno, Isabella and Andrea; sister, Stephanie (Brandon) Sculthorp-Skrei and their son, Ethan as well as aunts, uncles and cousins.
Jack was preceded in death by his mom, Sue (Brezney) Sculthorp; Sculthorp and Brezney grandparents; uncle, Jim and cousin, Jill.
Jack’s leadership, dedication and values were instilled in his Scouts and nephew, Ethan, and will live on in the Scouting community.
In lieu of flowers, donations are preferred to the Northern Lights Council Camp Wilderness Emergency Shelter.
