Joel Schram, 26, of Manvel passed away Tuesday, March 3, 2020 as a result of injuries sustained in a car accident in Grand Forks, ND.
The funeral service was held on Saturday, March 7, 2020 at Zion Lutheran Church, 3rd Ave. East, Oslo.
Joel Thomas Schram was born November 20, 1993 in Grand Forks to the Reverend Greg and Kim (Hoesel) Schram. He grew up and attended elementary school in Northwood and then attended high school in Thief River Falls, where he graduated with the class of 2012. While there, Joel was a member of the Prowler football, wrestling, and track and field teams. He was baptized into the Christian Faith by his father at Ebenezer Lutheran Church of Northwood and confirmed his faith at Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church in Thief River Falls.
Joel worked in landscaping and snow removal for Superb Services of Grand Forks.
Joel was an avid outdoorsman, who enjoyed hunting, fishing, biking, hiking, kayaking, was an environmentalist, and had a special bond with his dog Cujo.
Survivors include his parents Greg and Kim Schram of Loveland, CO; siblings: Katie Schram of Golden Valley, Carl (Denise) Schram and their sons Colin and Beckett of Fargo, ND, Erin Schram and Jonathan Schram, both of Loveland, CO; and the loves of his life Shelby Braaten and Easton of Manvel, her parents Leann and Paul Grzadzielewski of Manvel, brother Garet Grzadzielewski (Montanna McGillis) and all of the Braaten, Gowan, and Grzadzielewski families; he is also survived by several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Joel was preceded in death by all his grandparents and cousins Carrie Worner and Matthew Hoesel.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred.
