A mass of Christian burial was celebrated for Jone along with her husband, Munro on Tuesday, August 18, 2020 at St. Bernard’s Catholic Church in Thief River Falls. Burial was at St. Bernard’s Cemetery.
Jone Marie Vogen was born December 25, 1939 in Minneapolis, the daughter of Richard S. and Virginia M. (Jones) Vogen. She was baptized January 13, 1945 and confirmed on April 3, 1955, both in Minneapolis. She attended Corcoran Elementary School, Franklin Junior High-Vocational High School and then attended Nursing School at Minneapolis General Hospital.
On June 10, 1961, Jone was united in marriage to Munro Poole at St. Olaf Catholic Church, Minneapolis.
Jone worked as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the Phychiatric Ward, Minneapolis General Hospital, then as a Surgical Nurse in the Thief River Falls Hospital and in the Chemo Department of Northwest Medical Center, Thief River Falls.
Jone’s hobbies consisted of knitting, painting, crocheting, genealogy and the making of Unity Candles.
Survivors include Jone’s children: Dena (Kevin) Klockman, Jeff Poole, and James Poole; grandchildren: Alexis (Nick), Shane (Anastasia), Darian, Max, Alex, Landen, Cody, Danielle, Andy, Ben and Charlie; great grandchildren, Kamryn and Elijah; sisters, Linda Hamilton and Mary Therrien.
Jone is preceded in death by her loving husband, Munro; son, Brett Poole; parents, Richard and Virginia Vogen; grandparents: Mildred and Stanley Jones and Julia and Cornelius Vogen.
