Thief River Falls – Mona Loe, 51, of Thief River Falls, passed away on Tuesday, September 28, 2021 at Altru Medical Center, Grand Forks, ND.
Mona Marie (Lovro) Loe was born on June 29, 1970 in Langdon, ND, the daughter of Elton and Helen (Wold) Lovro. She was baptized in the Lutheran faith at Osnabrock, ND. In 1975 Mona moved to Valley City, ND, where she started school. In 1977 Mona and her family moved to Finley, ND, where she continued school and graduated from high school.
Following high school Mona attended and graduated from UND in Grand Forks, ND, with a degree in Social Work. Shortly after, Mona graduated from Northland Community and Technical College in East Grand Forks, with a degree in Medical Transcription.
Mona was married to Scott Voegle for two years and lived in Thief River Falls.
On May 3, 2008 Mona was united in marriage to Paul Loe in Jamaica. They made their home north of Thief River Falls. Together they enjoyed spending time in the Black Hills in South Dakota, and spending time with family, children, and grandchildren.
Mona enjoyed cross stitching, scrapbooking, and crafts of many kinds. Her dogs were a big part of her life and she considered herself a proud dog mom of Sammie and Cody. Mona enjoyed going to craft and trade shows where she marketed Norwex products.
Mona and Paul were members of the Evangelical Free Church in Thief River Falls where she was passionately involved in and attended church, Sunday School, special events, Bible study groups, and Triad Women’s Bible Study. She attended the Christian Women’s group in Thief River Falls and led the group for one year. Mona was a very strong, committed Christian woman. She daily read and studied her Bible at home.
Mona is survived by her loving husband, Paul of Thief River Falls; children, Jessica (Loe) Myhre of Thief River Falls, and Mitchell (Connie) Loe of Thief River Falls; grandchildren, Tyler Loe, Chloe Myhre, Gabriel Myhre, and Lena Loe; parents, Elton and Helen Lovro of Finley, ND; brother, Gerry (Sara) Lovro of Mayville, ND, and their children, Grace and Claire; sister, Amy (Chris) Tokvam of Two Harbors, and their children, Isabelle, Thor, and Natalie; mother-in-law, Melva (Loe) Brinkman of Roseau; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, relatives, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Justin and Belinda Lovro and Milton and Arlene Wold; and father-in-law, Walter Loe.
Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, October 9, 2021 at the Evangelical Free Church, 211 Arnold Avenue N, Thief River Falls, with Pastor Kent Hudson officiating. Interment will be held at the Mickinock Cemetery, Wannaska.
Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. with a 7 p.m. Prayer Service on Friday, October 8, 2021 at Johnson Funeral Service, 420 LaBree Avenue N, Thief River Falls. Visitation will also take place one hour prior to the funeral service on Saturday at the church.
