Reynolds, ND – David N.  Durgin, 77, of Reynolds, North Dakota, died Thursday, November 11, 2021 in Valley Senior Living on 42nd St., Grand Forks.
David Durgin was born on August 14, 1944, in Badger,  to Vernal and Cora (Modahl) Durgin. In 1947 Cora was united in marriage to Ralph Dowers who David loved as his father. David grew up in Thief River Falls and graduated from Lincoln High School in 1962. He attended Bemidji State University and graduated in 1966.
In 1965 David married June Goplin in Warren. Their sons, Brian and Jay, were born in Thief River Falls where they lived until moving to Moorhead in 1976. On July 21, 1984 David married Barb (Gulson) in Thompson, ND and shortly after moved to Reynolds, ND. David worked at Acme Electric in Grand Forks for over 30 years as a purchasing agent.
David loved the outdoors and enjoyed spending time with his family at their cabin on Spider Lake as well as the hunting shack in Northern Minnesota. David was an avid Sioux hockey fan and also enjoyed attending his grandchildren’s various activities. David had a wonderful sense of humor and an infectious laugh that could light up any room.
David is survived by his wife, Barb; sons, Brian (Rochelle) Durgin, Jay (Monique) Durgin; brothers, Daniel (Andrea) Dowers, and Scott (Susy) Dowers; grandchildren, Emily, Zach, and Rowan; as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Susie Miller; his brother, Darryl; and sister-in-law, Charlene.
