Red Lake Falls – Jacqueline Johanneck, of Red Lake Falls, passed away on Saturday, January 22, 2022 at Riverview Hospital in Crookston.
Jacqueline “Jackie” Ann Johanneck was born July 3, 1940 in South Milwaukee, WI, daughter of Peter and Marie (Spacek) Machak. Following graduation, she was employed by Bucyrus Erie Co., and while working there she was introduced to Gerald (Biff) Johanneck, whom she married on August 5, 1961 at St. John’s Catholic Church in South Milwaukee, WI. They moved to Oak Creek, WI where together they raised 7 children.
In the early 1980s Jackie went back to work at Oak Creek City Hall. From there she worked at Burlington Coat Factory until her retirement. Following retirement Jackie and Biff split their time between their home in Red Lake Falls and Oak Creek, WI.
Jackie is survived by her husband of over 60 years, Gerald (Biff) Johanneck; children, Cheryl (Bill Zierer) Kossow, Daryl, Debbie (Brian) Bogrow, Carrie (Eugene) Grobschmidt, Jill and Randy (Tracy Knaack); grandchildren, Adam, Kayla and Anna; great-grandchildren, Austin, Heavyn and Abby; along with many relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Gerald “Jerry;” and granddaughter, Jennifer; along with other relatives and friends.
Mass of Christian burial will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, January 28, 2022 at St. Bernard’s Catholic Church in Thief River Falls, with Father Rick Lambert officiating.
Burial will be held Holy Sepulcher Cemetery in Cudahy, WI later in the spring.
Visitation will be held at 12 Noon on Friday prior to the service at the church.
