Betty Gustafson, 96

Warren – Betty Ann Gustafson, age 96, of Warren, passed away on Wednesday, August 3, 2022 at Villa St. Vincent, Crookston.
Betty Ann Sylvia Gustafson was born on January 18, 1926 near Viking, to Arthur C. and Celia A. (Bjorge) Rud. She attended country school at Green Valley School #127 in Marsh Grove Township; graduated from Newfolden High School in 1943; and attended Aakers Business College in Grand Forks, ND.
Betty was united in marriage to Lowell W. Gustafson, October 23, 1948 at Zion Lutheran Church of Viking. Prior to her marriage she was employed at Rex Cafe, Thief River Falls; for an attorney in East Grand Forks; the Credit Bureau in Grand Forks; and Lutheran Brotherhood Life Insurance in Minneapolis. Following her marriage she was employed at Dr. Carlson’s office, Marshall County Selective Service System, and Marshall County Social Services, Warren.
Volunteering favorites after retirement were for Marshall Co. Social Services, the ODC Bible Study at Our Savior’s, as a Godel Library board member, a Legion Auxiliary Member, and helping with various church activities, including teaching Sunday School and Bible School.
Surviving are her two sons, Jeffrey A. and Kent A. Gustafson both of Warren; grandson, Matthew J. (Kristi) Gustafson of St. Paul; great-grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Andrew, and Abigail; step-granddaughters, Christy (Travis) Haugen, Kathy (Nick) Collins of Pueblo West, CO; and step-great-grandchildren, Preston and Eric, and Tyrie, Clara, and Lucy; sister-in-law, Ardelle Anderson; and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death are her husband, Lowell, who died in 2000; her parents; step-mother, Mildred; infant granddaughter, Angila Gustafson; brothers, Arthur D. (Viola) Rud and Hal Anderson; special aunt, Emma (Arne) Andreason; special uncle, Martin Rud; nephew, Gregory Halverson; niece, Tamie Swanson; and sister-in-law, Bev (Bob) Halverson.
Funeral Service will be held on Friday, August 12, 2022 at 2 p.m., at DuBore Funeral Home Chapel, Warren.
Visitation to be held one hour prior.
Interment will be next to Lowell, in Greenwood Cemetery, Warren.
