– It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Henry Edward Hoefer, at the age of 73 years, after a valiant battle with Cancer. Henry passed peacefully in his sleep at home on January 25, 2023.
Henry was raised in rural Red Lake Falls and loved growing up on the farm. He felt that many of his lifelong skills came from this experience.
As a graduate of Bemidji State University, he was a man of many talents who prided himself on his primary career as well as his entrepreneurial efforts. Henry will be remembered for his kind heart and a constant willingness to lend a hand.
Henry enjoyed being active in Scouts with his four sons and playing Grandpa to his six grandchildren in his later years. The most important thing in his life was his family.
Henry was a cherished husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. Henry is survived by his wife of 51 years, Cindy; sons, Matt (Holly), Chris (Christiaan), Ben (Jenny) and Rob (Betsy); as well as grandchildren, Samuel, Marit, Hildy, Lola, Hewitt and Zoe. Henry is also survived by brothers, Duey and Tim; and sisters, Mary, Gen, Yvonne and Kathy.
