Argyle – Conrad “Connie” Lubarski, 72, of Argyle, passed away on Wednesday, September 13, 2023 at Altru Hospital in Grand Forks, ND.
Conrad Frank Lubarski was born on April 15, 1951 in Warren, the son of Edmund and MaryAnn (Bukowski) Lubarski. He was raised in rural Strandquist with his six siblings and graduated from Argyle High School in 1969. Connie attended Northland Community College for two years before transferring to Moorhead State University where he got his degree in high school education. He also attended the University of North Dakota where he obtained his elementary education degree and coaching certificate.
On July 14, 1973 Connie married his high school sweetheart, Merece, at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church. They made their home in Argyle, and raised three sons. Connie’s working career included teaching at St. Rose Catholic School, providing crop/hail and other insurances, and being a lifelong contractor and coach. He was very proud of his children and their families, his student athletes and his 1981 State Champion Argyle High School football team.
Connie lived his faith and made it a priority to perform many roles within St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church. He was an active community member which included belonging to numerous organizations and always making himself available to be a part of what was best for his beloved hometown.
Left to mourn his passing are his sons and grandchildren, Nathan (Amy) Lubarski and Jaden, Rylan and Gianna of Crookston, Nolan (Kelly) Lubarski and Easton and Embrey of Dakota Dunes, SD and Nevin (Kallie) Lubarski and Kaleah, Kadence, Krozby and Kyzer of Grand Forks, ND; brothers, Richard (Joanne) Lubarski of Cedar, and Greg (Sheryl) Lubarski of Strandquist; sisters, Betty (Dale) Bedard of Apple Valley, Joan (Wayne) Krantz of Karlstad, Carole (Gayle) Stoltman of Argyle, and Lori Ann (Ellery) Hoch of Wolf Point, MT; in-laws and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Merece, and granddaughter, Nadia.
Mass of Christian Burial: Monday, September 18, 2023 at 10:30 a.m., in Stephen-Argyle Central Elementary School Gymnasium, Argyle. (300 W 3rd St. Argyle, MN 56713)
Visitation: Sunday evening, September 17, 2023, starting at 5 p.m., with a Rosary at 6:30 p.m. and a Prayer Service to follow, in the Elementary School Gymnasium, Argyle and one hour before services at the school on Monday.
Interment: Next to his wife, Merece, in St. Rose Cemetery, Argyle.
