Newfolden – Ethan Larson, 22, of Newfolden, passed away suddenly on Thursday, March 28, 2024 in Fargo, ND.
Ethan Paul Larson was born on October 16, 2001 in Thief River Falls, the son of Matthew Larson and Amanda Holtan. He was baptized on January 27, 2002 at Zion Lutheran Church in Thief River Falls, and confirmed on October 28, 2018 at Zion Lutheran Church.
Ethan attended Marshall County Central School until 8th grade and graduated from Lincoln High School in Thief River Falls with the Class of 2020. In 7th grade, Ethan was a Homecoming Attendant, and during his school years, Ethan loved playing hockey, football, and wrestling. After working on it for years, he earned the Biggest Flirt Award in his senior year.
During his teenage years, Ethan’s dream came true when his Grandpa Dale got him into racing stock cars. He was honored to be the third generation to race at the Greenbush Race Park.
Following school, Ethan moved to Fargo, ND and went to work with his father’s business Larson Hoof Trimming. Ethan’s goal was to eventually take over and to continue as the fourth generation Larson to work in the family business.
In 2022, Ethan returned to live in Holt, where he worked for Asphalt Preservation Company, and was currently employed by Davidson Construction. Ethan worked on the asphalt side of the company. He loved to work and truly enjoyed his coworkers. Ethan also enjoyed working with his Grandpa Dale in the junkyard and any other small projects that Grandpa came up with.
Ethan enjoyed hunting, fishing, traveling with his best friend Cole, riding snowmobile, and loved music. He especially loved spending time with his family and friends. Ethan loved all of God’s children so much, if he could have spent every day holding and loving them, he would have. Ever since Ethan was little, the love he had for children was like no other.
Ethan is described by his family as a man who gave the best hugs. He was a very loving son, grandson, great-grandson, cousin, nephew, friend, and was always concerned about those around him. He put other people’s feelings ahead of himself. His best days were spent with his brothers, laughing, wrestling, and playing X-Box. Ethan’s biggest dream was to see Rudy playing football, and if his dreams come true, Rudy will be playing for the NFL someday.
