Thief River Falls – Dianne Frazer of Thief River Falls, passed away at the age of 80 on Saturday, July 27, 2024, surrounded by her loving family at her home in Thief River Falls.
Dianne Joy Helgeson was born March 20, 1944, in Webster, SD to Ole and Julia
(Nelson) Helgeson. She was the youngest of five children. She was baptized and confirmed in Webster and graduated from Webster High School.
After graduation, she moved to Minneapolis, where she worked various jobs and met her future husband. On March 20, 1965, she was united in marriage to Earl Frazer. To this union, two children were born, Julie and Chad. In 1970, they moved to St. Hilaire, and then to Thief River Falls in 1985.
Dianne worked at Northwest Medical Center on CNC 2 as a Certified Nurse’s Assistant for over 30
years until her retirement in 2006.
Dianne enjoyed gardening, listening to music, making crafts, spending winters in Texas and traveling to visit family and friends, spending time at the casino, and most of all, she cherished the time spent with her grandchildren and great-
grandchildren, family and friends.
Dianne is survived by her husband of 59 years, Earl, of Thief River Falls; daughter, Julie Frazer of Saginaw, TX and son, Chad (Tiffany) Frazer of Larimore, ND; grandchildren, Samantha (Chad) Callaway of Columbus, OH and Shelby Frazer of Washington, MI; great-grandchildren, Ryan and Kaylin Callaway of Columbus, OH; and sister, Opal Quale of Webster, SD.
Dianne is preceded in death by her parents; sister, June Carlson; and brothers, Olen and Donald “Red” Helgeson.
The funeral service for Dianne will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, August 4, 2024 at
Johnson Funeral Service in Thief River Falls, with Reverend Timothy Lundeen officiating. There will be a one hour visitation prior to the service.
Burial will be held at 12 p.m. on Monday, August 5, 2024, at Pine Grove Cemetery near Cass Lake.
