Seattle, WA – Todd Anthony Wing, 57, passed away on March 24, 2025, in Seattle, WA. Born on July 5, 1967, in Minneapolis, Todd lived a vibrant and full life marked by creativity, compassion, and connection.
Todd grew up in Minnesota and graduated from Lincoln High School in Thief River Falls in 1985. A gifted athlete, he went on to attend the University of Minnesota as an NCAA diver, where he earned numerous medals and accolades for his skill and dedication. His time at the University not only showcased his athleticism but also laid the foundation for a life filled with passion and achievement.
Music was one of Todd’s greatest joys. He sang with both the Minneapolis and Seattle Men’s Choirs, sharing his voice and spirit with audiences across two cities he called home. Whether performing on stage or belting out tunes at karaoke nights, Todd’s love for music was infectious. He found solace and expression through playing the piano and guitar – his artistic soul shining through every note. His love for the stage didn’t stop at music. He brought characters to life in local theater productions, including memorable roles like the Scarecrow in “The Wizard of Oz” and Will Parker in “Oklahoma.”
Todd also had a deep appreciation for nature. He loved hiking and kayaking throughout the Pacific Northwest with his partner Jeff, embracing the beauty of the outdoors with enthusiasm and gratitude. His adventurous spirit extended to friendly competition as well; he played in various APA Pool Leagues in both Seattle and Minneapolis, enjoying comradery and challenge alike.
A man of faith, Todd was a true Christian who found comfort in reading from his Bible each night before bed. His spirituality was reflected not only in his personal practices but also in how he treated others – with kindness, empathy, and inclusion. Todd had an extraordinary ability to light up any room he entered. With a keen awareness of those around him, he made sure everyone felt seen and heard. His laugh was unforgettable – warm, genuine, and often contagious – and his personality left lasting impressions on all who met him.
Todd is lovingly remembered by his mother, Jacqueline (Kay) Wing; his partner, Jeff Brunello; sisters, Patty and Susie; cousins, Amy and Katie Gardner; as well as many nieces, nephews, and extended family members. He was preceded in death by his father, Barry Wing; and cousin, Lisa Gardner.
A celebration of Todd’s life will be held on Tuesday, May 20, 2025, at Centennial Lakes Park Pavilion in Edina, from 4–6:30 p.m., to honor the joy he brought into the world through music, friendship, faith, and love.
May his memory bring comfort to those knew him and continue to inspire kindness in all who carry it forward.
