Burnsville – Ronald C. Beiswenger, 83, of Burnsville, died peacefully surrounded by his family on Wednesday, May 7, 2025. Ronald was born on April 9, 1942, to Carl and Virginia Beiswenger in Thief River Falls. He graduated from Lincoln High School in 1960 and served in the US Navy from 1961–1965. He was stationed in San Diego, CA and Hawaii.
He is preceded in death by his parents, twin brother, Russell, his beloved soulmate of 38 years, Dianna Cournoyer; and brother-in-law, Tom Paton.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory, daughter, Aimee Beiswenger; son, Chet Beiswenger; grandson, Mason Beiswenger; Dianna’s daughter, Trysh (Pete) Olson and granddaughter Lexi Olson; sister, Zona (Clayton) Pearson; sister, Gwen Paton; sister, Ruth (John) Riedl; and family and friends.
Ron was a skilled welder and a devoted employee, spending his career with DeBourgh Manufacturing and Schwing America Inc. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, motorcycles and tinkering in the garage. He loved taking motorcycle trips with Dianna across the country and especially enjoyed their Alaskan cruise. A natural problem-solver, Ron could tackle most any challenge, whether at work or home. He found great joy in teaching his kids and grandkids, leaving them with lessons that will last a lifetime.
A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, June 3, 2025, at 1 p.m., with visitation one-hour prior at Washburn-McReavy Funeral Home in Bloomington. Luncheon to follow at The VFW Post 1296 in Bloomington, from 2:30–4:30 p.m.
A private family interment will take place at Fort Snelling National Cemetery. The family will lovingly donate all memorial contributions in his memory to the COPD Foundation.
