Milwaukee, WI – Oscar “Eugene” Borgie passed away on Thursday, August 21, 2025, at the age of 95. Oscar is preceded in death by his parents, Oscar and Eunice Borgie; his wife, Gertrude (nee Laffler) Hawkins-Borgie; and siblings, Bernerd (Joanne) Borgie, LaVerne (Al) Gundlefinger, and Elaine (Wally) Newquist.
Oscar was a loving father to Debra (Tom Brudnicki) Borgie, Roberta (Steven) Marek, Tamra (late Jerry) Johanneck; and their mother and Oscar’s first wife, Shirley Borgie.
He was grandfather to Kaytie (Matt), Chad (Katie), Jaimie (Justin), Lindsay (Austin); and great-grandfather to Ella, Oliver, Johanna and Juliette. Oscar is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
A graveside service, with military honors, will take place at St. Hilaire Cemetery in Minnesota on Thursday, September 4, 2025, at 11 a.m.
