West Fargo, ND – Angel Mae Sunsdahl, age 79, passed away peacefully on Wednesday morning, September 17, 2025, in West Fargo, ND.
Mae was born May 1, 1946, in Red Lake Falls, to Andrew and Alexina Dessellier. Mae was one of 17 children and attended Oklee public schools.
Mae worked as a nanny in Grafton, ND, at Lady Slipper Designs, the Care and Share, and the Rural Transportation Collaborative, both of Crookston.
Mae enjoyed cooking for others, music, flowers of all kinds (especially orchids), dancing and she loved making quilts for friends and family.
Mae is preceded in death by her parents, first husband, Dale Raymond Moran, of Mentor; her partner, Arnold Qualley, of Crookston; and husband, Marvin Sunsdahl of Crookston.
Mae is survived by three siblings and seven children. Surviving siblings are: Vincent Dessellier and his wife, Shirley; brother, Eugene Dessellier and his wife, Margaret; and sister, Joyce Tougas. Mae’s children are: Tim Driscoll and his wife, Mona; Rachel Moran and her partner, Robert Black; Dale Andrew Moran and his wife, Jennifer; Gerald Moran and his wife, Gwendolyn; Denise Moran; Selina Moran; Christopher Moran; 18 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. Mae was lovingly surrounded by family in the days prior to her passing and will be missed by many.
A Celebration of Life will be announced and observed at a later date.
