Lawrence (Larry) Carriere, age 90, passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 12, 2026.
Larry was born on March 4, 1935, to Harry and Georgiana Carriere in Duluth.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 55 years, Lauralee; his brothers, Albert, Roger, Eugene, and Jim; and his granddaughter, Kelly Jo Carriere; and several sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law.
Larry is survived by his sister, Marylyn Hale; sons, Mark, Bob (Sandy), and Jeff (Sharon); and daughter, Lona Maybee (Mark); along with 9 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren, and many other relatives and friends.
Larry and Lee married in 1955 and lived in Minneapolis and Robbinsdale, before moving to Thief River Falls, where they resided for 40 years. Larry’s long career as a Fiberglass Master Mold Builder allowed him to work for Alumacraft, Arctic Cat, and The Glass Farm.
In his free time Larry enjoyed cheering on the Minnesota Vikings, fishing, boating, wet biking, and spending time with family and friends.
Per Larry’s wishes, no service will be held.
