Plummer – Lucille Kvasager, of Plummer, passed away at Sanford Medical Center in Fargo, ND on Thursday, March 26, 2026, with her loving family by her side.
Lucille Kvasager was born on December 14, 1934 to Bennie and Olga Mahla. She grew up on the family farm with her three older sisters. She graduated from Plummer School.
On November 6, 1954, Lucille was united in marriage to Goodwin Kvasager. Together they made their home on the family farm near Plummer and raised their children – Mark, Terry, and Janet.
Lucille worked as the head cook at the Plummer school and for Hillcrest Nursing Home in Red Lake Falls for many years.
She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, serving as Ladies Aid (WELCA) president and Altar Committee Chair.
Lucille enjoyed sewing clothing and quilts, and gifted pillows in her later years. She delighted in spending time with her great-granddaughters, Graceyn and Brynley who brought her great joy. She also loved visiting with friends in person and talking on the phone.
Lucille is survived by her children, Mark (Carly) Kvasager of Terrebonne, Terry (Patty) Kvasager of Plummer, and Janet (Charlie) Hebert of Excelsior; grandchildren, Ben (Amber) Kvasager, Katie (Ben) Musburger, and Kristen (Josh LaMunyon) Hebert; great-grandchildren, Graceyn and Brynley Kvasager, Claire and Harrison Musburger, and Weston LaMunyon; sisters-in-law, Anne Manthei, Helga Nissen, and Carol Kvasager; and several nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
Lucille was preceded in death by her husband, Goodwin; her parents, Bennie and Olga; sisters, Judy (Joe) Johansen, Bernice (Jerome) Larson, and Gladys (Curly) Narverud; her in-laws, Ole and Kathrine Kvasager; brothers-in-law, Ole Jr., Bjarne (Viola), Otto (Donna), Arne, Einar, Milton Manthei, and Morrie Nissen; and sister-in-law, Gerda (Arlan) Koskela.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, April 2, 2026, at 11 a.m., at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Plummer, with Reverend Jonathan Dodson officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior.
Burial will be at Emmardville Cemetery, rural Plummer.
