Katheryn E. Hovet, 92

Goodridge – Katheryn Hovet, 92, of Goodridge died peacefully on Sunday, June 10, 2018 at Oakland Park Communities in Thief River Falls.
Funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 16, 2018 10:30 a.m. at Ekelund Lutheran Church rural Goodridge. Burial will be held at Ekelund Church Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service on Saturday at the church.
Katheryn Elizabeth Hovet was born August 28, 1925 in Fairdale, ND, daughter of Floyd and Amanda (Grande) Stone. The family moved to International Falls at the age of 5 and later to a farm near Oklee and later into Oklee.
On October 24, 1950 she was united in marriage to Obert Hovet in Oklee. The couple made their home on the family farm in Star Township, rural Goodridge.
Katheryn was an active member of Ekelund Lutheran Church, serving on the Ladies Aid. She enjoyed quilting, gardening, canning and spending time outdoors. She also liked flower gardening and spending time in the barn with the animals. Katheryn cherished the time visiting with family and friends.
Katheryn is survived by her two sons Kenneth (Vicki) Hovet of Long Prairie and Dennis Hovet of Goodridge; grandchildren Jonathan (Sabrina) Hovet of Havre, MT, Karisa (Jerod) Viall of Mt. Vernon, WA, Jennifer (Ross) Stolen of Stanwood, WA and Matthew (Jessica) Hovet of Billings, MT; great-grandchildren Stephanie (Fiance Brandon) Hovet of Havre, MT, Lance Corporal JJ Hovet of Honduras, their mother Heather Hovet of Billings, MT, David Viall of Mt Vernon, WA, Madison Viall of Mt. Vernon, WA, Lily Curl of Billings, MT, Drake Stolen of Stanwood, WA, Trystan Hovet of Billings, MT and Jade Stolen of Stanwood, WA; brothers Patrick (Gloria) Stone of Sauk Centre and Francis (Darlene) Stone of Brainerd, sister-in-law Angie Stone of Champlin, along with many nieces and nephews.
Katheryn is preceded in death by her husband Obert Hovet, parents Floyd and Amanda, brothers Howard Stone, Herald Stone and William Stone, sisters-in-law Adeline Stone, Marie Stone and Dee Stone.
